Swipe Photos (Android app, package com.swipephotos.applet)
Effective date: 2 October 2026
- Your photos never leave your phone. We don't upload, copy or look at them.
- We don't collect personal data. There is no account, no analytics and no advertising.
- Nothing is deleted unless you confirm it in Android's own dialog, and then it goes to your device's trash.
- Subscriptions are handled entirely by Google Play.
Who we are
Swipe Photos ("the app", "we", "us") is a photo-cleanup app for Android. This policy explains what the app does with information on your device. If you have questions, contact us at industry4.pk@gmail.com.
Photos and photo access
To show your photos one at a time so you can keep them or queue them for removal, the app asks for permission to read images on your device:
- Android 13 and later: "Photos" access (
READ_MEDIA_IMAGES). On Android 14 and later you can choose to share only selected photos, and the app then works with only those. - Android 11–12: storage read access (
READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE), used only to read images.
Photos, thumbnails and file details (such as date, size and album name) are read and processed only on your device. They are never uploaded, sent to us, or shared with anyone. The app does not access videos, your camera, location, contacts or microphone.
You can change or remove photo access at any time in your phone's Settings.
Removing photos
Swiping a photo left only adds it to a review queue inside the app. Photos are moved to your device's trash only after you confirm in Android's own system dialog. The app never deletes photos permanently. How long trashed photos are kept, and whether they can be restored, depends on your device. Removing a photo from your phone does not remove copies stored in cloud backups or other services.
Information stored on your device
To work, the app keeps a small amount of information only on your device:
- Your review decisions (which photos you kept or queued) and cleanup progress.
- How many free reviews you have used today, so the daily limit works.
- Your settings, such as theme and haptic feedback.
- Whether you have an active Premium subscription, so Premium keeps working offline.
This information is not sent to us and is excluded from Android cloud backup and device-to-device transfer. You can clear review history in the app (Settings → Reset review history), and all of it is removed when you clear the app's data or uninstall it.
What we don't collect
We do not collect, store on servers, sell or share any personal data. The app has no user accounts, no analytics or tracking tools, no advertising and no servers of its own.
Purchases and subscriptions
Premium is an auto-renewing subscription (monthly or yearly) sold through Google Play. Google processes the payment; we never see or store your payment details. The app checks with Google Play on your device whether you have an active subscription. Google's handling of your information is described in the Google Privacy Policy. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in the Google Play Store (Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions).
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.
Your rights
Because we don't collect or hold personal data about you, there is nothing for us to access, correct or delete on our side. All app data stays on your device and is under your control as described above. If you have any privacy question or request, email industry4.pk@gmail.com.
Changes to this policy
If we change how the app handles information, we will update this page and its effective date. Significant changes will also be noted in the app's store listing.
